SA: Sex shop to use Bradman name
There's a public uproar in South Australia tonight over plans to give a new name to
an Adelaide sex shop that could see it mistakenly linked to cricketing great DON BRADMAN.
The shop is located on a road that's to be re-named Sir DONALD BRADMAN Drive, in honour
of the Aussie batting legend.
Now, a sex shop in the area has registered a new business name -- Erotica on Bradman.
Former South Australian Cricket Association chief executive BARRY GIBBS has called
for the shop's owners to review their plan.
But the shop's manager, who wants to be known only as Tom, says the name change is
purely to help people locate the business.
He says it's not meant to create an association between erotic merchandise and Sir DONALD.
